A text expander is a tool that automatically replaces a short trigger with a longer piece of text. For example, you type something like “;thanks” and it inserts a full thank-you message, standard reply, signature, template, or repeated explanation. I use it for snippets I expect to reuse for months, not just for something I need today. My favorite tools for this are Espanso and AutoHotkey.
